Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received a phone call from Nasser Bourita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates of the Kingdom of Morocco. The discussion focused on enhancing bilateral relations across various fields, as well as addressing regional and international issues of mutual concern.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the two ministers emphasized the depth of historical and fraternal ties between Egypt and Morocco. They reiterated their commitment to elevating the level of bilateral cooperation to reflect the strong relationship between the two nations. Both ministers expressed their shared aspiration to strengthen political consultation mechanisms and boost economic and investment cooperation. They also aimed to expand cooperation in various sectors, including culture and education, to meet the aspirations of both peoples and promote shared interests.
Furthermore, the ministers exchanged views on several regional issues, notably the developments in the Palestinian cause and the situations in Syria, Lebanon, Libya, and Sudan. On the African front, they discussed the importance of continuing joint efforts to enhance mechanisms of African joint action, the role of the African Union in addressing the continent's issues in peace, security, and development, support for Agenda 2063, and efforts to advance the strategic interests of African countries.
