Tanzania: Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan and Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly unveiled the commemorative plaque for the Julius Nyerere Hydroelectric Dam and Power Station project, which was implemented in Tanzania by the Egyptian consortium of Arab Contractors and Elsewedy Electric.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly is attending the inauguration of the project on behalf of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi. He is accompanied by an official delegation that includes Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa el Menshawy, Governor of Alexandria and former deputy director of the consortium Ayman Attia, Chairman of the Arab Contractors Company Ahmed el Assar, and CEO and Managing Director of Elsewedy Electric Ahmed Elswewdy. Officials and representatives of the Egyptian consortium, comprising Arab Contractors and Elsewedy Electric, were also present.
The Julius Nyerere Hydroelectric Dam and Power Station in Tanzania are key development cooperation projects between Egypt and African countries. Egyptian companies successfully completed the project, which aims to support the energy sector and enhance Tanzania's economic capabilities. This project stands as a model of the strategic partnership between Egypt and Tanzania.
