Cairo: Chinese Ambassador to Egypt Liao Liqiang announced that China-Egypt cooperation has achieved fruitful development gains, emphasizing projects supporting Egypt's Vision 2030 and the Belt and Road Initiative.According to State Information Service Egypt, Liao highlighted the TEDA economic and trade cooperation zone in the Suez Canal Economic Zone, which has attracted more than 200 companies and over $4 billion in investment. This initiative has created 60,000 direct and indirect jobs, contributing significantly to the local economy.Liao also mentioned the success of the MisrSat-2 satellite, renewable-energy projects, and water-well drilling, all of which have supported resource management, green development, and agricultural production. These efforts align with broader goals to enhance sustainable development in the region.Furthermore, Liao noted that a recent Luban workshop has provided academic and vocational training to more than 7,400 people. Additionally, China's Global Development Initiative h as mobilized over $23 billion, benefiting individuals in more than 120 countries.In terms of economic growth, Liao reported that China's economy grew by 5.7% in the first half of 2026, underscoring the robust nature of its development initiatives.
