Brussels: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in an economic event in Brussels, coinciding with the inaugural EU-Egypt Summit. The event marked a significant gathering aimed at enhancing bilateral economic relations.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the event saw the participation of the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, along with key Egyptian officials, including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, the Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, and the Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade, Eng. Hassan El-Khatib.
The spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, highlighted the extensive turnout at the event. Over 300 chairmen and representatives from more than 60 European companies were in attendance, alongside 100 Egyptian companies and 15 international financial institutions. Additionally, representatives from economic bodies associated with European Union member states participated in the event, underscoring its significance to both European and Egyptian stakeholders.
