Cairo: New Administrative Capital: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Ayman Ashour, met with Ebrahim Adia, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Wolverhampton, to discuss expanding academic cooperation between Egypt and the United Kingdom. The meeting took place at the ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Ashour emphasized Egypt's commitment to strengthening partnerships in higher education and scientific research. He highlighted the recent expansion of Egypt's higher education system, which includes the establishment of new universities, the opening of foreign university branches, and joint degree programs with international institutions. These initiatives aim to meet labor market needs and build human capital in alignment with Egypt's Vision 2030.
The discussions covered various areas of cooperation, including engineering and medical education, joint undergraduate and postgraduate programs, research and industrial project funding, staff and student exchanges, and collaboration in emerging fields such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and smart systems. Adia expressed his support for closer cooperation with Egyptian universities, commending the development of Egypt's higher education sector and its increasing regional and international significance.
