Foreign Minister Reaffirms Egypt’s Firm Support for Sudan’s Unity

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's firm and unwavering support for Sudan's unity, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national institutions during a phone call with Sudanese Foreign Minister Mohieddin Salem.According to State Information Service Egypt, the call came as part of continued consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries. Abdelatty emphasized the importance of ensuring that the political process remains fully Sudanese-owned in a manner that preserves the country's resources and fulfills the aspirations of the Sudanese people for security and stability.The discussion between the two ministers also covered bilateral relations and ways to further strengthen them across various fields. Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's pride in the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between the Egyptian and Sudanese peoples and expressed eagerness to continue developing cooperation that serves the common interests of both nations.The two ministers agreed to maintain close coordination and consultation in the coming period on various issues of common interest. They also committed to following up on bilateral cooperation, reflecting the unique nature of Egyptian-Sudanese relations and serving the interests and aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
