Niamey: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty left on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, for Niamey, the capital of Niger, as the third stop in his West African tour aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and intensifying coordination with African nations.According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister is accompanied by a delegation of 30 Egyptian business leaders, including chairpersons and representatives of major public and private sector companies, to support the expansion of trade and investment relations between Egypt and Niger.During the visit, Abdelatty is scheduled to hold a series of high-level meetings with senior officials in the Nigerien government, focusing on ways to deepen bilateral relations in various sectors. He will also meet with members of the Egyptian community in Niger.The visit includes coordination on key regional issues, particularly in the Sahel region, with a focus on efforts to combat terrorism and strengthen security and stability.Th e mission reflects Egypt's commitment to active engagement with West African nations, the promotion of South-South cooperation, and support for development and stability in the African continent.
