PM Inspects Nile Corniche Development in Luxor

Luxor: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli inspected ongoing development work at the Nile Corniche in Luxor, emphasizing that these improvements are part of the government's efforts to highlight the city's rich cultural and historical heritage.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the development of the Corniche aligns with Luxor's visual identity efforts aiming to provide a unique tourism experience for both locals and visitors. The premier's remarks came during his visit to Luxor, where he was briefed by Governor Abdel Motaleb Emara on the development of the East Bank Corniche. The projects involved repairing and upgrading worn-out flooring, replacing lighting poles with ones that match the city's visual identity, and expanding greenery along the Corniche.

Madbouli also talked with foreign tourists visiting the East Bank, many of whom were experiencing Luxor for the first time. The tourists expressed their excitement over the city's unique cultural, historical, and tourist characteristics.

The Prime Minister also visited the West Bank Corniche on a Nile boat, as the development works there included a glass walkway, 21 tourist bazaars, restaurants, an open-air theater, a fountain, parking facilities, pergolas, benches, green spaces, and improved tourist docks.

Madbouli praised the great efforts over the past years to develop the Corniche, highlighting how these projects greatly enhance Luxor's tourist potential. The tour concluded with a visit to the Roman Theater on the Luxor East Bank, where Madbouli watched performances by local children, including folk dances, poetry recitations, and scout performances, lauding their high-level talents.
