Luxor: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli underscored the need to maintain top-level healthcare services at all General Authority for Healthcare-affiliated medical facilities for both local residents and foreign tourists. The Premier's remarks came during his visit to Karnak International Hospital in Luxor to follow up on the workflow in its different departments and ensure the availability of medical supplies and the provision of high-quality and efficient healthcare services to patients. He also spoke with patients across various departments, including the oncology and neonatal care units.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouli highlighted the hospital's comprehensive services, including cancer treatment and pediatric care, where no waiting lists for incubators exist. He also interacted with a British tourist receiving high-quality hotel-style medical care and confirmed the hospital's commitment to international standards.
Chairman of the General Authority for Healthcare Ahmed el Sobky said the state covers the majority of treatment costs, with patients only contributing a minimal fee (10%) for surgeries or other medical procedures. He noted that this system allows affordable healthcare while maintaining excellent service standards.
