Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's full solidarity with Lebanon to preserve its sovereignty, unity, territorial integrity, and national institutions.According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty made these remarks during a phone call with Lebanese Foreign Minister and Emigrants Youssef Rajji. The conversation focused on strengthening bilateral ties and regional developments. Abdelatty emphasized the historical and fraternal ties between Egypt and Lebanon and expressed Egypt's commitment to promoting bilateral relations and cooperation in various fields.The ministers also discussed the recent negotiations between Lebanon and Israel in Rome. They exchanged views on the talks' outcomes, aiming to create conditions for Israel's complete withdrawal from Lebanese territory. Abdelatty highlighted the significance of maintaining the negotiating track and building upon the progress made to achieve results that respect L ebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.Furthermore, Abdelatty called for the comprehensive implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1701. He urged Israel to cease military attacks on Lebanon and complete its withdrawal from Lebanese territory to enhance Lebanon's security and stability and prevent further escalation in the region.Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's full support for the Lebanese government in its efforts to strengthen state sovereignty and extend its authority nationwide. He emphasized the importance of Lebanese state institutions, particularly the Lebanese army, in maintaining security and stability.Lebanese Foreign Minister Youssef Rajji expressed appreciation for Egypt's unwavering support, acknowledging Cairo's continuous backing of the Lebanese state and its institutions.
