Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, praised the role of the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in settling international and commercial disputes, describing it as the oldest arbitration court and a key pillar in strengthening confidence in arbitration mechanisms. Madbouli made the remarks during a meeting with PCA Secretary-General Marcin Czepelak and his accompanying delegation at the Cabinet headquarters in the New Capital. Assistant Foreign Minister for Legal Affairs and International Treaties Hatem Abdel Qader attended the meeting.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the prime minister reaffirmed Egypt's readiness to cooperate with the PCA and provide support to facilitate its work, noting Egypt's strong belief in arbitration as a peaceful means of resolving international disputes and protecting investments. He said this approach aligns with the government's efforts to improve the investment climate and attract more foreign direct investment. Czepelak expressed appreciation for Egypt's role in the Middle East and its efforts to promote regional dispute resolution, stressing his interest in strengthening cooperation with Egypt within the PCA's framework.
