Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli chaired a cabinet meeting at the Government Headquarters in the New Capital to discuss a number of political, economic, social, and other files on the government's agenda, in addition to reviewing mechanisms for implementing presidential directives in an optimal manner and within appropriate timelines. During the meeting, the cabinet will review several key issues, including the prime minister's inspection tour of ongoing construction and development works at a number of hospitals in Cairo and Giza governorates.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the agenda also includes the inauguration of nine factories affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone, as well as the opening of a 500-megawatt solar power plant in Nag Hammadi, representing half of the project's total planned capacity of 1,000 megawatts. The cabinet will also follow up on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to meet citizens' needs, continue and intensify efforts to curb inflation, and sustain increased public spending on the health, education, and social protection sectors. Discussions will further address monitoring market regulation, ensuring the availability of food commodities, and continuing the implementation of national projects across all governorates.

The meeting will review files related to expanding social protection measures and supporting the most vulnerable groups, advancing education and healthcare development, promoting comprehensive development, boosting investments and exports, and localizing industries within the framework of Egypt's Vision 2030. The cabinet will also assess progress made on previous measures related to investment, industry, export promotion, agricultural expansion, allocation of industrial land to investors, the social safety net, tax reforms, and development initiatives across various state sectors, as well as procedures aimed at supporting low-income citizens and securing citizens' basic needs more broadly.
