UACCIAP Targets 2027 for Enhanced Economic Integration in Africa

Accra:The Union of African Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Agriculture and Professions (UACCIAP) has unveiled a strategic 2027 action plan aimed at advancing economic integration and boosting trade and investments across Africa's private sector.

According to State Information Service Egypt, UACCIAP President Ahmed El-Wakil announced the plan during a board meeting attended by Investment and Trade Minister Mohamed Farid, representatives from African chambers, and members of the Egyptian General Federation of Chambers of Commerce. El-Wakil highlighted the private sector's essential role in transforming integration opportunities into tangible trade results.

Union Secretary General Alaa Ezz elaborated on the plan's objectives, which include fostering economic integration, enhancing intra-African trade, attracting foreign investments, promoting digital transformation, and empowering small and medium enterprises. The initiatives aim to align with the African Continental Free Trade Area frameworks and focus on eliminating trade barriers.
