New Alamein City:Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar inspected the ongoing construction of the New Alamein Hospital in Matrouh Governorate.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the hospital is being developed on a 16,800 square meter site and will provide 196 beds, including 121 for inpatients, 50 for intensive care, and 25 for premature infants. It will also feature eight operating rooms.
The facility will house 16 outpatient clinics for various medical specialties, 30 dialysis beds, five laboratories, and three endoscopy units. It will be equipped with a comprehensive radiology system offering services such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, mammography, echocardiography, and catheterization.
During his visit, the Health Minister emphasized the importance of adhering to the construction schedule to ensure the hospital is completed on time. This is essential for providing prompt medical services to citizens with high standards of quality and efficiency.
The development of the New Alamein Hospital is part of a broader state initiative to expand access to comprehensive medical services and bolster the healthcare system in emerging urban areas. The hospital aims to meet healthcare needs and boost service capacity in response to the development and urban expansion in New Alamein City.
