El-Alamein:President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received Aliko Dangote, Founder and President of the Dangote Group, on the sidelines of the "Alamein Africa Business Forum." The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly and Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates.
According to State Information Service Egypt, President El-Sisi welcomed Mr. Dangote to Egypt, praising his contributions to economic development and industrialization in Africa. He highlighted the success and expansion of Dangote Group in sectors such as cement, fertilizer, energy, and food processing, which have bolstered industrial capacities across the continent.
President El-Sisi expressed pride in Mr. Dangote's career, noting his education at Al-Azhar Al-Sharif University as a symbol of the deep ties between African nations. He reiterated Egypt's commitment to empowering the African private sector and supporting the African Union's Agenda 2063.
The discussion focused on potential collaboration between the Dangote Group and Egypt in energy, fertilizer, chemical, and cement sectors, leveraging Egypt's economic resources and infrastructure.
Mr. Dangote expressed interest in expanding the Group's investments in Egypt. President El-Sisi assured him of Egypt's support and readiness to facilitate this process to enhance economic cooperation.
