Minister Gobran pointed out that the issuance of the new Labor Law no. 14 of 2025 is a historic step toward modernizing Egypt's labor system. The minister also stressed the importance of economic empowerment for youth, linking education and vocational training to labor market needs, expanding technical and digital training programs, and strengthening partnerships with the private sector.
The GLMC includes participation from 40 ministers from different countries, focusing on solutions and policies related to labor market issues at both regional and international levels. The conference program covers six main themes, including the impact of technological transformations and artificial intelligence on the workforce, new skills required for labor market changes, issues facing workers in the informal economy, workforce flexibility, and aligning labor markets with continuous advancements.
Under the slogan 'Shaping the Future,' the conference gathers decision-makers, business leaders, labor market experts, and representatives of international organizations. The aim is to contribute to shaping the future of work, provide a platform for dialogue and cooperation, and develop forward-looking solutions to the most prominent challenges facing global labor markets.
