Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met Tuesday, 18, November, 2025, foreign cadets at the National Defense College (NDC), in the Military Academy. During the meeting, the top diplomat expressed pride in the participation of officers from friendly Arab, African, Asian, and European countries in the NDC course on advanced and strategic studies.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this reflects the confidence various nations place in Egypt, its national institutions, and its diverse programs, he said. Abdelatty discussed the determinants of Egyptian foreign policy, noting that it adopts an active strategy based on established principles and values aimed at supporting peace and the settlement of disputes by peaceful means and through mediation.
He also highlighted Egypt's efforts toward reconstruction and development in countries affected by conflict, especially in Africa. The FM touched on Egypt's vision for resolving regional and international conflicts, which is based on respecting the sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity of states.
He reviewed the prominent national role played by the Egyptian Armed Forces, and how they represent a fundamental pillar for supporting security and stability in the region and defending Egyptian borders amidst exceptionally complex geopolitical challenges. In the regional context, the foreign minister reviewed the determinants of Egypt's stance on developments in Gaza, detailing Egypt's position on security arrangements there.
He stressed the necessity of finding a political horizon that contributes to the Palestinian people exercising their right to self-determination and establishing their independent state on the June 4, 1967 lines with Al-Quds (East Jerusalem) as its capital.
