Paris: Egypt's Ambassador in Paris and permanent representative at UNESCO Alaa Youssef applauded the growing momentum in Egyptian-French relations, which have recently been crowned with the important visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt in April.
According to State Information Service Egypt, that visit contributed to elevating the two countries' relationship to the level of strategic partnership. The Egyptian diplomat highlighted this development during a ceremony held at the 'House of Egypt' in the International University City in Paris, celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the July 23 Revolution.
Youssef noted that Macron's visit resulted in the signing of several agreements and memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in strategic sectors, including health, transportation, and renewable energy. He commended the fruitful cooperation between both countries at the economic level.
Furthermore, Youssef emphasized that the 'House of Egypt' has become a symbol of cultural and scientific cooperation between Egypt and France. It serves as a shining cultural and civilizational beacon for Egypt in the heart of Paris, reflecting the Egyptian state's commitment to supporting its youth abroad and promoting its scientific and cultural presence worldwide.
He described the July 23 Revolution as a significant turning point in the history of modern Egypt, with a far-reaching impact that extended beyond its borders, serving as a role model for those seeking freedom and independence.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of French officials and public figures, along with many Egyptian expats in France.
