Sharm el-sheikh: Egypt is set to host the 25th International Congress of Supreme Audit Institutions (INCOSAI 25) in Sharm El-Sheikh from October 27 to 31, with the participation of more than 190 oversight bodies from around the world. The event, organized by the Accountability State Authority (ASA) under the chairmanship of Counselor Mohamed Al-Faisal Youssef, is the main decision-making forum of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).
According to State Information Service Egypt, during the congress, Egypt will present a pioneering vision on the use of artificial intelligence in public auditing under a key theme titled 'Using Artificial Intelligence in Auditing.' The proposal explores how advanced technologies such as machine learning and natural language processing can enhance data analysis, detect irregularities, and strengthen transparency and accountability in managing public resources.
The Egyptian presentation also introduces the concept of 'hybrid auditing,' combining automated analytical tools with human professional judgment to achieve greater efficiency and integrity.
The ASA has developed this theme in cooperation with the Office of the Auditor General of Norway, positioning Egypt as a leading contributor to shaping the future of global auditing practices.
