Egypt: Egypt's petroleum sector increased crude oil and condensate production in the Western Desert by nearly 12,000 barrels per day (bpd) over the past two weeks, according to the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.
According to State Information Service Egypt, more than 10,000 barrels per day came from Khalda Petroleum fields, while about 1,500 barrels per day were added from the General Petroleum Company's operations in Abu Sennan.
In a statement, the ministry said that Khalda Petroleum, a joint venture between the Egyptian General Petroleum Corporation (EGPC) and Apache Corporation, raised production from 113,300 barrels per day in late May to around 123,500 barrels per day in early June after bringing five new wells into operation, including three development wells and two exploration wells.
The EGPC also recorded its highest production level since October 2024, reaching about 74,500 barrels of oil equivalent per day. The newly activated GPF-1X exploratory well in Abu Sennan is producing around 1,500 barrels of crude oil and one million cubic feet of natural gas daily.
