Egypt Showcases Education Reforms, AI Strategy at UNICEF Meeting

New york: Education Minister Mohamed Abdel Latif presented Egypt's education reform experience, including the use of artificial intelligence and digital technology, at a UNICEF Executive Board meeting in New York. Speaking at a high-level session on education technology and AI, Abdel Latif said Egypt was moving from 'promise to proof' by using technology to improve learning outcomes at scale while protecting children and supporting teachers.According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdel Latif stated that digital safety and responsible internet use had been integrated into curricula for about 12 million students. Additionally, a national digital platform for teachers and students was being developed in collaboration with UNICEF and the Global Partnership for Education.The minister highlighted plans to expand programming education to about 800,000 students. He also noted that government-provided tablets now exceed 1.2 million, illustrating Egypt's commitment to leveraging technology for educational ad vancement.
