Cairo: Egypt's Mufti and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Authorities Worldwide Nazir Mohamed Ayyad expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his patronage of the 11th International Ifta Conference.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Ayyad stated on Friday, September 4, 2026, that the conference, organized by Egypt's Dar Al-Ifta and the General Secretariat of Fatwa Houses and Authorities Worldwide, was held under the theme "Family Challenges Amid Major Transformations." It convened scholars, muftis, researchers, and experts from 80 countries over the course of September 2-3. The conference addressed significant challenges that families face amid rapid global transformations.

Ayyad emphasized that President El-Sisi's patronage highlights the Egyptian state's commitment to family issues and its ongoing support for scholarly and intellectual efforts aimed at protecting and strengthening family cohesion. He described the family as a fundamental element of social stability and human development.

He further stressed that the family serves as the primary environment for instilling values and principles that shape an individual's awareness and personality. Preserving family cohesion and enhancing its capacity to fulfill its educational and social roles, he added, are crucial to addressing the challenges and rapid transformations occurring worldwide. Ayyad also expressed prayers for Egypt's continued security, stability, and prosperity, and for President Sisi to be granted success in serving the country and advancing its development and progress.
