EAEA Inks Deal to Develop Phosphate Resources

Cairo: The Egyptian Atomic Energy Authority (EAEA) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Masters for Advanced Logistics to cooperate on improving the quality of phosphate ore and associated minerals and exploring uses for phosphate waste in agriculture and industry. The agreement aims to translate the authority's scientific research into practical applications with economic and development benefits, while leveraging its expertise in ore-processing technologies and resource optimization.

According to State Information Service Egypt, under the memorandum, the two sides will conduct studies and technical tests to identify the most effective methods for processing phosphate ore and its waste. They will also assess potential applications of resulting products in fertilizer and agricultural-input industries, as well as other industrial uses.

The initiative aims to support sustainable development and strengthen the role of scientific research in the national economy.
