Cairo: Egypt launched its 80th humanitarian aid convoy to Gaza on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, carrying 12,250 tons of urgent food, medical, relief, and winter supplies, including more than 180,000 blankets, around 80,000 winter clothing items, and over 12,000 tents.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the shipment also includes more than 7,700 tons of food baskets and flour, over 3,000 tons of essential medical and relief supplies, and over 1,500 tons of petroleum products. The convoy is part of the Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza initiative that Egypt launched on 27 July to accelerate the entry of emergency humanitarian aid to the war-torn territory.
Over the past months, the initiative has delivered over 130,000 tons of food, medical supplies, winter items, and fuel in hundreds of trucks, supporting hospitals, essential services, and the urgent needs of the population. Since 7 October 2023, Egypt has led the largest and most sustained humanitarian operation to Gaza, aiming to relieve the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Despite the ongoing Israeli blockade, Egypt has delivered more than 665,000 tons of aid since the start of the war through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings, working in coordination with the United Nations and other international partners. The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) coordinates all aid to Gaza through a nationwide network and over 35,000 volunteers handling supplies, medical support, evacuations, and cross-border operations.
Egypt has also facilitated the entry of 214 ambulances, supplied around 91,000 tons of fuel, coordinated the deployment of four field hospitals, and provided more than 260,000 medical services and 171,000 relief services to evacuees and patients through ERC teams inside Egypt.
