Cairo: Communications Minister Amr Talaat has emphasized that the Egyptian government is actively working to encourage global companies to increase their investments and expand their operations within Egypt's burgeoning ICT sector. The minister underscored the reliance on Egypt's pool of qualified local technical talents and the improving quality of digital services offered by the country.
According to State Information Service Egypt, during a visit to Qemam, a Saudi outsourcing services company, in Dakahlia governorate, Minister Talaat highlighted that Egypt's ICT expertise is distributed across various governorates, not confined to a single city. He pointed out that Egypt has a robust human-resource base, capable of competing on both regional and global levels.
Minister Talaat revealed that approximately 400 ICT specialists from the city of Mansoura are currently exporting digital services to Saudi Arabia and other nations, demonstrating the strength and potential of Egyptian talent in the international market. He explained that the ministry is focused on promoting global investment in Egypt by enhancing local talents' skills and the quality of the nation's digital services.
He reiterated the government's commitment to supporting businesses and developing the skills of young professionals. This is being achieved through various technical empowerment initiatives and advanced training programs offered by the Ministry. Talaat highlighted the strategic importance of qualified youth in establishing Egypt as a regional hub for ICT services and noted that the youth, with their advanced expertise and adaptability, are integral to the sector's growth. This makes Egypt an attractive destination for global companies seeking innovative environments and skilled human capital.
