Cairo: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli chaired the government’s weekly meeting at the cabinet headquarters, focusing on key political, economic, and social issues.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was pivotal in reviewing mechanisms for implementing presidential directives efficiently and within set timelines, aligning with the state’s development strategy. With recent regional tensions due to the military operation by the United States and Israel in Iran, the cabinet discussed a comprehensive package of social and economic measures to shield Egypt’s economy.

The agenda included ensuring the availability of strategic commodities for several months, intensifying efforts to mitigate inflation, and maintaining increased public spending on crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, and social protection. The government also examined measures to regulate markets and ensure the availability of food commodities alongside implementing national projects.
