Nairobi: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is set to participate in the opening session of the Africa-France Summit, which is being hosted in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya. The summit’s opening session will feature speeches from the presidents of Kenya, France, and Burundi, who is the current chair of the African Union (AU). Additionally, the United Nations (UN) secretary-general and the chairperson of the AU Commission are scheduled to deliver their addresses.
According to State Information Service Egypt, President El-Sisi will present Egypt’s perspective during a working lunch session later in the day. This session will focus on key issues such as the reform of the international financial architecture, the overhaul of the global financial system, and improving African countries’ access to sustainable financing.
The session is expected to be attended by leaders and representatives from various countries, including France, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, and Zambia. High-profile figures such as the managing director of
the International Monetary Fund and the president of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are also anticipated to partake in the discussions.
On the sidelines of the summit, President El-Sisi will engage in several bilateral meetings with African leaders and officials from international organizations, aiming to strengthen diplomatic ties and explore potential collaborations.
