Abu dhabi: Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted on Saturday, December 13, 2025, that the government supports a wide range of cultural projects aimed at providing services, especially for youth and children, underscoring that Misr Public Libraries play a crucial role in raising awareness and developing young people's skills.
According to State Information Service Egypt, these initiatives are being implemented in line with President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to build the Egyptian citizen and achieve the goals of Egypt Vision 2030 for sustainable development. These remarks were made during Madbouli's tour of projects under the presidential initiative "Decent Life" in the targeted villages of Qalyubia governorate, where he inspected Misr Public Library in the city of Shebin el Qanater.
For his part, Qalyubia Governor Ayman Attia asserted that Misr Public Library in Shebin el Qanater represents a significant addition to the governorate's cultural infrastructure. He said that such projects contribute to building awareness and knowledge among younger generations, stressing the governorate's commitment to intensifying activities and events across all library branches to ensure that the largest possible number of citizens benefit from these services.
The governor added that the Shebin el Qanater library is the second branch in Qalyubia, following the Banha Library, with work underway to establish a third branch in Shubra el Kheima. Meanwhile, Director of Misr Public Libraries Fund Reda el Taify said that the network of Misr Public Libraries now includes 34 public libraries across 18 governorates, in addition to 24 mobile libraries. He pointed out that the Shebin el Qanater Library is the 31st branch nationwide, the second in Qalyubia after Banha and that a third branch in Shubra el Kheima is scheduled to open in the first quarter of next year.
