Cairo: The Ministry of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation has released its 2025 Annual Report titled, 'Jobs, Growth and Resilience: Delivering for a Future-Ready Egypt.' The report outlines significant progress in economic reform, development planning, and the empowerment of the private sector.
According to State Information Service Egypt, for the first time, Egypt has begun preparing its Medium-Term Economic and Social Development Plan using a program- and performance-based approach with clearly defined indicators for all ministries. The report emphasizes improved macroeconomic performance, with growth increasingly driven by manufacturing and productive sectors. Additionally, the private sector's share of total investment has risen to nearly 65%.
The report also reviews advances in digital government services through the Spatial Data Infrastructure Center, strengthened economic diplomacy, climate action, and expanded development partnerships. As part of the Financing for Development Strategy, the Ministry successfully mobilized $2.9 billion in concessional finance for the private sector and secured $300 million in development grants during 2025.
