Cairo: Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk met with Uzbekistan's Ambassador to Egypt Mansurbek Kilochev and his delegation to discuss enhancing joint agricultural cooperation and reviewing ongoing technical projects between the two nations.According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting aligns with directives from political leaders in Egypt and Uzbekistan to deepen bilateral relations, with a particular focus on agricultural collaboration as a priority of Egypt's economic diplomacy. Discussions included sharing technical expertise and integrating agricultural supply and production chains between Cairo and Tashkent.Participants highlighted progress since the signing of joint memoranda of understanding, especially in plant protection and agricultural quarantine. The Egyptian minister mentioned potential cooperation in establishing a sugar beet production factory in Uzbekistan, leveraging Egyptian investments and expertise.
