Tourism Promotion Board Approves Framework of 2026-27 Incentive Program

Cairo: The Egyptian Tourism Promotion Board (ETPB), led by Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy, has given the green light to the foundational rules for a proposed incentive program targeting the 2026-27 tourism season, as confirmed by the Tourism Ministry.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the framework is set to be forwarded to the board of the Tourism and Antiquities Support Fund for final approval. Once approved, it will be shared with private-sector tourism stakeholders. The program is designed to boost inbound tourism and strengthen Egypt's standing as a leading global tourist destination.

During a recent meeting, the board evaluated the authority's promotional activities carried out during the 2025-26 fiscal year and deliberated on plans for engaging in key international tourism exhibitions for the upcoming fiscal year. The members also assessed current trends in tourist arrivals and discussed strategies to maintain tourism flows amid regional developments. Key initiatives like the "Vibes of Egypt" promotional campaign, air connectivity support programs, and incentive schemes aimed at airlines and tour operators were part of the discussions.
