Algiers: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met with President of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune during his visit to the Algerian capital. During the meeting, Abdelatty delivered a written message from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to the Algerian president.

According to State Information Service Egypt, spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry Tamim Khalaf stated that Abdelatty conveyed President El-Sisi's greetings and appreciation to President Tebboune, along with wishes for continued progress and prosperity for Algeria under his wise leadership. The meeting reviewed the historic and brotherly relations between Egypt and Algeria, which have witnessed growing momentum politically and economically.

Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation across various fields, praising the depth of the strong ties between the two brotherly nations. He expressed Egypt's aspiration to build on the current momentum to ensure proper preparation for the ninth session of the Egypt-Algeria Joint Higher Committee, scheduled to be held in Cairo later in November, in a way that enhances cooperation in the economic, trade, and investment fields.

Abdelatty also commended the significant development taking place in Algeria across various sectors, expressing Egypt's full readiness for Egyptian companies to participate in Algeria's development and infrastructure projects, given their expertise, efficiency, and execution capabilities.

The discussions also covered regional and international issues, including the latest developments in the Palestinian cause. Abdelatty reviewed the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace and the historic agreement reached to end the war in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of building on this achievement to ensure the consolidation of the ceasefire and the unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into the Strip, paving the way for reconstruction and stability efforts.

In this context, the foreign minister referred to the ongoing preparations for the International Conference on Early Recovery, Reconstruction, and Development in Gaza, scheduled to be held in Cairo in November, with broad regional and international participation. He emphasized that the conference aims to mobilize the necessary financial and technical support for Gaza's reconstruction.

He also praised Algeria's steadfast and honorable positions in supporting the Palestinian cause and rejecting any attempts to undermine the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Regarding the Libyan crisis, Abdelatty stated that Egypt's participation in the meeting of the Tripartite Mechanism of Libya's Neighboring Countries, scheduled for Thursday, reflects its keenness to coordinate efforts with Algeria and Tunisia in support of a UN-sponsored, Libyan-led political solution that preserves Libya's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

He stressed the importance of the withdrawal of all mercenaries, foreign fighters, and foreign forces from Libya. For his part, Tebboune conveyed his greetings to President Sisi, praising the deep and solid brotherly relations between the two countries and peoples, as well as the notable progress achieved in various fields. He expressed Algeria's eagerness to continue joint efforts with Egypt to strengthen bilateral cooperation and intensify coordination on various Arab and African issues of mutual concern.
