Egypt: Egypt's State Council and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have launched a consular authentication office at the State Council's court complex in New Cairo. This initiative follows the signing of a cooperation protocol on Sunday, August 15, 2026, aimed at providing citizens with document authentication services that require certification by the Foreign Ministry.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the signing ceremony was witnessed by State Council President Counselor Mahmoud Abul Dahab. The office began offering services to the public the same day the protocol was signed. The agreement was formalized by State Council Secretary-General Counselor Nasser Reda and Ambassador Haddad el Gohary, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad.
Abul Dahab emphasized that the collaboration would facilitate high-quality services to litigants and citizens while optimizing their time and effort. He highlighted the council's dedication to delivering modern and accessible services, aiming to alleviate the burdens on Egyptian citizens.
Reda expressed gratitude towards the Foreign Ministry for its cooperation in establishing the office, noting that it is equipped with the necessary tools and technology to ensure quick and efficient consular authentication services. Gohary, in turn, commended the State Council and reiterated the Foreign Ministry's commitment to enhancing collaboration with state institutions, especially judicial bodies, to improve the services rendered to the public.
