Egypt and China Plan New Media Projects to Enhance Cultural Dialogue

Beijing: Egypt and China are gearing up to launch new media projects aimed at strengthening cultural connections and dialogue between the two nations. Chairman of the Egyptian National Media Authority (NMA), Ahmed el-Muslimani, announced the initiative during his address to the China Global Television Network (CGTN) at the seventh China-Africa Media Cooperation Forum held in Beijing.

According to State Information Service Egypt, el-Muslimani emphasized the significance of ongoing collaboration between Egypt's Maspero and CGTN. This year marks the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and China, highlighting a growing partnership in media fostered under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping.

El-Muslimani pointed out successful joint projects such as documentaries that celebrate Egyptian and Chinese civilizations. Notable examples include 'China as I Saw It,' featuring renowned Egyptian actor Hussein Fahmy, and other programs created in collaboration with esteemed archaeologist Zahi Hawass. These initiatives have played a crucial role in promoting cultural understanding between the two countries.

Furthermore, el-Muslimani expressed optimism about the future of media cooperation, stating that upcoming joint media projects will contribute significantly to deepening people-to-people ties and constructing stronger bridges between Cairo and Beijing.
