Egypt: Egypt and China on Saturday, August 22, 2026, launched the joint 'Eagles of Civilization 2026' air exercise at several air bases across Egypt, with multirole fighter aircraft of various types taking part.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the exercise will continue for several days and include theoretical and practical training for Egyptian and Chinese personnel, aimed at establishing common operational concepts and improving coordination between the two sides.
The participating forces will conduct joint air sorties and train on planning and managing joint air combat operations. The exercise also provides an opportunity for personnel from both countries to exchange experience and develop operational skills.
Eagles of Civilization 2026 is being held as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' joint training program with the militaries of partner countries and is intended to strengthen military cooperation between Egypt and China.
