Abu Dhabi:The Regional Training Center for Water Resources and Irrigation has been awarded the ISO 90012015 certification. This achievement follows a successful external audit of the center's quality management system, meeting the international standard's requirements.

According to State Information Service Egypt, The certification process involved a comprehensive review of the center's internal procedures, audits, and management reviews. These efforts aim to enhance the efficiency of training programs for water sector employees by ensuring systematic planning, design, and evaluation.

Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, Hani Sewilam, emphasized that this certification underscores the ministry's dedication to quality and excellence. He noted that the development of training programs is vital for achieving the objectives of the Second Generation of the Water System (2.0), which focuses on modernizing the sector and improving water-use efficiency.

Sewilam also highlighted the importance of continuous program updates to address current and future challenges in the water sector. He praised the center's staff for their commitment to improving institutional performance and adhering to quality standards, which aligns with the ministry's goals of enhancing human resources and water management efficiency.
