Cairo:The Ministry of Awqaf is taking steps to promote the safe use of digital technology through its "Correct Your Concepts" initiative. This initiative aims to establish guidelines for responsible digital behavior, addressing issues that directly impact citizens, particularly in response to emerging negative behavioral changes in society.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Ministry Spokesman Osama Raslan stated that the initiative seeks to tackle problems associated with excessive use of technology and screens. The ministry plans to offer Islamic guidance on responsible digital behavior alongside insights from experts in cybersecurity, sociology, and psychology.

Raslan elaborated that the initiative will also examine the consequences of excessive engagement with electronic games and digital addiction. The ministry is pursuing two main approaches conducting field-based awareness activities and community outreach, which include visits to youth and sports centers, universities, and households.

Key activities of the initiative involve delivering tailored awareness messages to younger age groups and parents. These messages aim to encourage responsible digital consumption and moderation in the time spent on social media and online browsing. Additionally, the initiative focuses on raising awareness about privacy protection and digital security amid the growing issues of online fraud and electronic scams.
