_:Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to review efforts to provide agricultural fertilizers and steps to regulate their distribution to farmers. The meeting included Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk, Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Alaa Farouk, Industry Minister Khaled Hashem, and officials from several relevant entities.According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly emphasized the State's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector. This includes adhering to President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives aimed at supporting farmers through an integrated vision that maximizes the sector's resources and potential.The Prime Minister noted that this support aims to expand cultivated areas, diversify crops—especially strategic ones—strengthen food security, meet domestic demand, and increase agricultural exports. He highlighted the government's dedication to ensuring the availability of all agricultural production requirements, including necessary fertilizers, to boost crop produ ctivity and achieve social and economic goals for farmers and the State.The meeting also addressed measures in coordination with relevant entities to enhance oversight of the agricultural fertilizer distribution system. The goal is to ensure subsidized fertilizers reach eligible farmers and prevent the support from going to ineligible recipients. Efforts to supply fertilizers through agricultural cooperatives and improve oversight and allocation transparency were also discussed.
