Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli held a meeting on Monday, December 8, 2025, to assess the availability of basic food commodities and agricultural products across the nation. The discussion focused on ensuring these essentials are accessible in adequate quantities and at prices that consumers can afford.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting was attended by Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa El-Din Farouk and Executive Director of the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority Bahaa El-Ghannam. The agriculture minister shared insights on the collaboration with the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority aimed at boosting the country's production of poultry and table eggs.
Farouk elaborated on recent discussions with the General Union of Poultry Producers and various investors. These talks explored strategies to support the poultry industry by enhancing the production of veterinary vaccines, introducing highly resilient poultry breeds, and ensuring sustainable production to meet domestic needs efficiently.
Prime Minister Madbouli underscored the State's continuous efforts to provide necessary inputs and components for this critical industry. He noted the current stability and decrease in poultry prices as a positive outcome of these initiatives. Madbouli also stressed the ongoing need to maintain meat availability in ample quantities and at reasonable prices, especially in preparation for the upcoming holy fasting month of Ramadan.
