Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced that the government will approve whatever is agreed upon by the House of Representatives regarding the draft of the new old rentals law. Discussions on this law are currently underway, with a community dialogue involving various stakeholders. This announcement was made during a press conference following the Cabinet's weekly meeting, where Madbouli emphasized the government's participation in discussions through concerned ministers.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the press conference was attended by significant figures, including the minister of supply and internal trade and the head of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone. The prime minister addressed inquiries about the truce declared in Yemen and its impact on Suez Canal navigation. He noted that developments are being monitored daily, particularly the ceasefire announcement, which is expected to restore stability in the Red Sea and encourage the return of global shipping companies to the Suez Canal.
Madbouli expressed optimism about the truce, stating that the Suez Canal Authority has initiated communications with global shipping companies to resume operations in the world's largest shipping lane promptly. Additionally, he spoke about the forthcoming fifth review by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), stating that the IMF has scheduled it to occur within the next few days. The relevant committee requires time to compile its report before discussions with the IMF can begin.
