Cairo: The Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company has signed a cooperation protocol with the Afro-Asian General Union Investors (AAGUI) to strengthen joint cooperation and create new opportunities for implementing major projects in Egypt and abroad. The protocol was signed at the headquarters of the Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the agreement aligns with directives by State Minister for Military Production Salah Suleiman Gamblat to enhance cooperation with investment and economic entities, strengthen integration with the private sector and business community, and open new avenues for military production companies to expand into foreign markets. This initiative also supports Egypt's efforts to deepen economic and investment partnerships with brotherly and friendly countries.
The protocol was signed by Chairman of the Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company Maged Soliman El-Serti and Mohamed El-Orabi, President of the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization (AAPSO), Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the General Union of Afro-Asian Investors, and a member of the Senate. Under the protocol, cooperation will cover key sectors such as urban development, infrastructure projects, industrial and logistics zones, and energy projects, among others.
The agreement provides for collaboration in healthcare, education, community services, and the restoration of heritage sites. It also covers the use of artificial intelligence and advanced technology in project planning and management, along with engineering consultancy services and training programs for human resource development.
The Military Production Projects, Engineering Consultancy and General Supplies Company will utilize its engineering expertise to implement projects adhering to international quality standards. Meanwhile, AAGUI will offer a comprehensive database of investment opportunities in Africa and Asia, promote military production projects, and facilitate access to financing.
Both parties agreed on forming a joint committee to periodically meet, develop action plans, assess opportunities, and work on overcoming any challenges, aiming to turn cooperation opportunities into tangible projects. The protocol signing highlights the Ministry of Military Production's efforts to leverage advanced technical and engineering capabilities to forge strategic partnerships with investors and economic entities affiliated with AAGUI, supporting major development projects in Egypt and beyond.
