Cairo: The Ministry of Industry has launched a unified digital platform to provide manufacturers with integrated services covering the full industrial investment cycle, from project planning and feasibility studies to production, expansion, and marketing.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the platform aims to improve the industrial investment environment, boost the competitiveness of locally made products, and strengthen integration across production and supply chains. The ministry announced the launch in a statement on Wednesday, highlighting the platform's potential to transform the industrial landscape.
Key services of the platform include a digital system for managing manufacturers' complaints, complete with defined response deadlines and real-time performance indicators to track resolution rates and recurring issues. This system is expected to streamline communication between manufacturers and the government, enhancing efficiency and transparency.
Additionally, the platform will offer a digital database and marketplace for locally produced production inputs. This feature allows factories to list their needs while enabling local suppliers to offer their products, thereby fostering a more connected and efficient industrial ecosystem.
Manufacturers, traders, and exporters will benefit from a separate digital marketplace designed to showcase finished industrial products. This platform will facilitate connections through virtual meeting rooms, providing a modern solution for business networking and expansion.
One of the most innovative features is 'Calculate Your Opportunity,' which employs artificial intelligence to conduct preliminary feasibility studies for industrial projects. By analyzing project data, this tool can provide initial indicators on the viability and success prospects within minutes, offering a significant time-saving advantage for investors and entrepreneurs.
Financially-strapped factories will also find support through the platform, which connects them with financing institutions and potential investors. This initiative is crucial for helping restart production capacity, preserving investments, and securing jobs, thus contributing to the overall economic stability of the industrial sector.
The ministry has called on officially registered factories to sign up, create their industrial profiles, list products, and register their production-input needs. The platform is accessible through both Android and iOS applications, as well as its unified digital system, making it readily available to users across various devices.
