Cairo: Minister of Labour Hassan Raddad and Matrouh Governor Mohamed el-Zamlout inspected the final construction and fit-out works at the new multi-service Labour Office in El Dabaa City in Marsa Matrouh Governorate in preparation for its launch and the start of services.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister emphasized that the office reflects the ministry's efforts to strengthen its field presence near major national projects and improve services for workers, employers, and businesses, in line with the scale of development and investment in the area. The office is intended to provide integrated services such as workplace inspections, youth employment, and occupational safety and health monitoring, serving as a direct link between the ministry, companies, businesses, and workers.
The facility is expected to help create job opportunities for local youth, coordinate with companies to identify workforce needs, monitor workplace safety and health requirements, and manage procedures related to foreign workers in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Located on a 367-square-meter plot, the office includes a 180-square-meter ground floor, a 180-square-meter first floor, and a 129-square-meter second-floor rest area.
During their tour, Raddad and Zamlout reviewed the final preparations, assessing the readiness of the facility's components and the arrangements for its operation and service delivery. The new office is part of the Labour Ministry's initiative to bring services closer to workplaces, production sites, and major national projects, while enhancing worker protection, supporting employers, and promoting safe and organized working environments.
This development aligns with the ministry's ongoing efforts to support national projects with trained Egyptian workers, provide decent jobs, enhance workforce skills, and strengthen occupational safety and health systems, all contributing to Egypt's development and strategic projects.
