Cairo: Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hani Sewilam has directed the ministry's leadership, along with heads of central water resources and irrigation departments in the governorates, to elevate the level of readiness across all ministry agencies during the Eid al-Fitr holiday.According to State Information Service Egypt, Sewilam instructed personnel in various governorates to make every necessary effort and maintain continuous monitoring to meet required water levels and flows. The minister emphasized the importance of heightening the state of readiness and activating emergency operations rooms in all governorates to ensure smooth operations across all departments nationwide.Sewilam also mandated relevant ministry departments to monitor water levels and flows throughout the network around the clock. He stressed the need to take all necessary measures to ensure water stability, prevent congestion, and provide all water needs. Additionally, the minister called for achieving safe levels and flows for drinking water stations during the holiday and conducting field inspections to ensure adherence to irrigation rotations and water distribution plans.
