Egyptian and Pakistani Education Ministers Discuss Bilateral Cooperation in Education

Cairo: Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif met with Pakistan's Minister of State for Federal Education and Vocational Training Wajeeha Qamar to discuss enhancing cooperation in pre-university and technical education. The meeting focused on Arabic language teaching and specialized educational programs.According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions highlighted Egypt's efforts to address challenges such as classroom overcrowding and teacher shortages. The Egyptian side also discussed curriculum development and the integration of programming and artificial intelligence through Japan's "Curio" platform. Furthermore, the expansion of digital learning tools and initiatives in technical and vocational education (TVET) were key points of discussion, with an emphasis on forming private-sector partnerships and aligning with labor market needs.Pakistan shared its national education reform strategies, emphasizing curriculum standardization and the development of vo cational education. Initiatives to improve graduate employability were also presented. The two countries agreed to explore student and teacher exchanges and joint TVET programs in priority sectors. Additionally, cooperation in Arabic language education was discussed to strengthen academic collaboration and knowledge exchange between Egypt and Pakistan.
