Abdelatty expressed appreciation for Greece's support for Egypt within European Union institutions. The ministers also shared insights on the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East, with Abdelatty highlighting Egypt's diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions.
Furthermore, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's backing for the ongoing US-Iran negotiations, while Gerapetritis acknowledged Cairo's contributions to fostering regional stability. Both officials addressed the Palestinian issue, with Abdelatty emphasizing the importance of implementing the commitments of the first phase of the US peace plan concerning Gaza, advancing to the second phase, and the necessity for the national committee to operate from within the territory, alongside the swift deployment of an international stabilization force.
