Cairo: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly recently engaged in discussions with Gonvarri Industries Chairman and CEO Jon Riberas to explore potential investments by the Spanish company in Egypt. The talks focused on opportunities in the sectors of automotive components, renewable energy, metal structures, and logistics.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly emphasized Egypt's commitment to expanding its renewable energy projects, particularly in solar and wind power. He pointed out Egypt's strategic position as a regional manufacturing and export hub that can serve the Middle Eastern and African markets efficiently.

The meeting also considered the possibility of establishing a significant Gonvarri manufacturing facility in Egypt, dedicated to automotive components. The discussions highlighted the potential for partnerships with local investors. Gonvarri Industries, known for its expertise in steel and aluminum processing, is evaluating several investment models. The company regards Egypt as not only a crucial market but also a prospective regional base.

Both parties concluded the meeting with a commitment to continue discussions, with the Egyptian government aiming to finalize a concrete investment framework in the forthcoming weeks.
