N'djamena: Ambassador Tarek Youssef, Egypt's Ambassador to Chad, delivered 10 dialysis machines, complete with all accessories, and 10 beds for use with the machines to Dr. Abdel-Magid Abdel-Rahim, Minister of Public Health and Prevention. The donation was provided by the Egyptian Ministry of Health to its Chadian counterpart.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian Ambassador affirmed Egypt's commitment to supporting Chad in its development path, noting that this initiative embodies the depth of bilateral relations and the spirit of brotherhood that unites the leadership of the two countries, as well as their shared desire to bolster cooperation in a way that serves the interests of both brotherly peoples.
For his part, the Chadian Minister of Public Health and Prevention, on behalf of the highest authorities in the country, expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Egyptian government for this humanitarian initiative. He pointed out that the machines will contribute to alleviating the suffering of kidney failure patients in Chad, adding that the delivery was accompanied by a training course for the healthcare staff responsible for operating the equipment, to ensure its proper use and continued performance.
Dr. Ibrahim Hammad, Director General of the Central Hospital in N'Djamena, also appreciated the qualitative support provided by Egypt, which will contribute to enhancing the hospital's capacity and technical capabilities, and improving the quality of patient treatment.
