Egypt and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Bilateral Relations at Antalya Diplomacy Forum


Antalya: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan asserted the depth of bilateral relations and the strong historical and fraternal ties between the two countries.



According to State Information Service Egypt, they expressed their aspiration to build on the current momentum in bilateral relations and to further enhance cooperation across various fields in order to support development and prosperity for both countries. The remarks came during a meeting held on Saturday on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, within the framework of close consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.



During the meeting, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, stressing Egypt’s firm rejection and strong condemnation of attacks targeting Saudi territory. He underscored that any infringement on the sovereignty of Saudi Arabia and Gulf states constitutes a direct threat to Egyptian and Arab national security.



The talks also included an exchange of views on the trajectory of US-Iran negotiations, as well as discussions on the latest regional developments. The two ministers reviewed ongoing coordination within the quadrilateral mechanism that brings together Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Pakistan, aimed at boosting security and stability in the region. They further discussed the negative economic repercussions of ongoing conflicts, particularly with regard to international shipping, global supply chains, food security, energy security and oil price stability.
