Egypt and India Explore Collaboration in Health Coverage and Medical Technology

Cairo: Egypt and India engaged in discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation in universal health coverage, e-health, and clinical research. The talks took place between Ahmed El-Sobky, Head of the Egyptian Healthcare Authority, and Indian Ambassador in Cairo, Suresh K. Reddy.According to State Information Service Egypt, Sobky emphasized Egypt's position as a strategic gateway to African markets. He expressed interest in localizing robotic surgery and smart primary care models through partnerships with major Indian healthcare organizations, including Apollo Hospitals and Aster DM Healthcare.Ambassador Reddy extended an invitation to Egyptian officials to visit India, allowing them to explore the Indian healthcare system. He advocated for a long-term partnership that would facilitate the exchange of best practices and enhance Indian investment in Egypt's evolving health and medical technology sectors.
